    Beovision 7 Bare Bones....

Has anyone in the States purchased the relatively new BV7 option without an optical drive and speaker? I am contemplating selling a few B&O items to fund this new set, but wanted opinions... Prices seem to range from $6000 and up, I am curious why a BS3 costs more than a BV7 modualr option if it's essentially the same thing. In any case, I'd be selling the following portion of my collection: Beovision 8, Beolab 4000 pair, Beolab 6000 pair, a beoPort and Beolink Active. Any thoughts, opinions or interest? Thanks, Sal

Having done some more reading on these forums, maybe I shouldn't continue thinking about a BV7 (sans-disc). I would assume that these newer panel-only wonders are MkiV? If so, there are quite a few beophiles who are having a dandy time with their BV7 MkIV's. Oh well, who knows! LOL Sal

If I recall correct the 6K price without disk drive is a special to clear MKIII inventory.

In germany the price list shows a significant "bump" for the MKIV disk/speaker-less option. I think its an awesome deal even though I am not sure how it looks mounted on table, floor or wall mount.

    BS9000, BS2300, BC2, BL2500, BL3, Bl2, BS1, BV8, BC4, A8

Yes, the low-low price is to clear the MKIII inventory... at least this is what my dealer told me...  I almost went for one - I really just wanted it for integration purposes - and sure, the picture would be an improvement over my cheapo toshiba lcd - however, my room doesn't lend itself to surround sound or placement options (this was the killer - I really need something that can sit in a bookshelf) - hence, I wouldn't be using it close to its potential, but decided to buy a Beo5 and program it myself instead (to handle the integration)... and save the money for a BS5 (someday).
