Just thought I'd let you know that I received my repaired Stylus from Axel at Schallplattennadelin whose online repair service i heard about through this site. The sound is superb through my Beocenter 1800 a lot more defined clarity and I'm sure it is a lot is down to having an ellipitcal rather than the standard spherical diamond fitted. The volume has was also notably louder.

Overall I'd certainly recommend Axel services to anybody out there who's B&O system has suddenly developed one channel problems or they simply want to repair their tired MMC stylus.

                                          I'm not surprised that you have noticed an improvement with this repair. You have basically been upgraded from a MMC20S (S = spherical) to a MMC20E (E = eliptical) which is a higher specified cartridge and was more expensive at the time of release.

I must add that if you have also noticed a volume increase then I reckon your cartridge was pretty much on its last legs in any case so the improvements would be more noticable if you have been listening to a cartridge dying over a period of time.
