THIRD PARTY BLU-RAY MULTI-REGION PLAYER THAT IS PUC CONTROLLABLE..HELP!

I'm looking for a Samsung, Panasonic or Sony blu-ray DVD player that is multi-region, or upgradeable.  Needs to be controllable with PUC on BV8-40 or BV7-40. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated...

Any of the brands you mentioned should be controllable with the PUC.  While blu-ray region encoding exists, it is not YET heavily enforced. Here is a useful list of titles that have or do not have region locks:

    Hi

I will upload a xml file to control the Sony BDP-S300, S350 or S500 bluray player with the Beo5, without PUC. It has almost all the functions of the original remote control.

Thanks, that would be a great help.  Does the BDP-S300 and S350 share the same remote commands?

I think yes. A friend was testing the file with both, and both players were working fine.
