    Amplifier rating for outdoor speakewrs

I have 2 No TIC Corp TSF 15(wg) outdoor speakers rated at 300 watts (http://www.ticcorp.com/rock_speaker_tfs15.htm).  They are currently driven by a beolink passive amp rated at 75 watts.  The speakers distort horrendously which TIC think is due to the amp pinking.

My dealer says they can not fit a more powerful amp and still link it to the system.  TIC say I need a 300W amp.  Has anyone else tried this or know of a way of linking a better amp to the system so it still works from the main controller?

    Many thanks, Rob

The Beolink amplifier is really about 30W RMS so i am not too surprised. You need something with a bit of welly - there are a pair of Beolab 200s on ebay at present or consider a Quad 405.
