Adding picture of CD cover manually

    Hello,

I have a Bemaster 5/Beosound 5 system and was wondering how I can add picture of CD cover, there the software does not find them in the database. In the manual it just says that pictures can be added to the folder, but this does not have any effect.

Thanks for any help on this

    Gerald

Re: Adding picture of CD cover manually

I know you can do it through BeoPort, drag and drop a photos as outlined below:

BeoPlayer supports cover art for N.MUSIC tracks, either as

pictures embedded in the tracks or as a picture placed in the

same folder as the tracks or the album.

To download or update album covers …

Cover art shows in BeoPlayer in all views on the left side of your

screen. If you have registered BeoPlayer, you have access to

BeoPortal, and after you have scanned your computer for music,

you can start updating your current album covers or downloading

    album covers.

    > Click and hold on the current view in BeoPlayer in the top

    left-hand corner.

    > Move the cursor to ‘Albums’ and let go of the mouse

    button.

    > Right-click an album to see the available options.

Alternatively you can drag and drop a photo onto a track or an

    album directly in BeoPlayer.

When you insert a CD and click

    PC CD

    , BeoPlayer will show

cover art automatically, if present in the file.

Re: Adding picture of CD cover manually

    Hello Gerald

I asked me the same question a few weeks ago and I found the following solution:

I'm using www.cover-paradies.to to search for the needed covers and copy them to the harddisk. Then I resize them to 512x512 resp. 75x75 pixels and copy them under the name "Folder.jpg" (512x512) or "AlbumArtSmall.jpg" (75x75) to the designated order on the BM5.

I'm not shure if they have to be named strictly "Folder.jpg" and "AlbumArtSmall.jpg" but on my BM5 / BS5 it works. I can also replace them "on the fly" :-)

Take always the covers with the best quality (highest resolution) you can find. They are just looking brilliant on the BS5 display!

    Regards Wulf

Valuable point made by Wulf. There are countless sources of cover art in the internet and the quality of the cover art on your display can be dramatically improved by using those as compared to the automatic search results via B&O software. Unfortunately, it involves one to a higher degree. However, judge for yourselves if it's worth it - I enclose just one of the (too many) examples:
