There was a thread covering the serial numbers on BeoLab 5. I'm looking at a pair at the moment.... he says they are 2 years old... but I wanted to check myself using the serial number. Does anyone know where that thread was about the age and what serial number it should have??

this is what I found (it's all in the forum)

• 11 - 1996
• 12 - 1997
• 13 - 1998/1999
• 14 - 2000
• 15 - 2001
• 16 - 2002
• 17 - 2003/2004
• 18 - 2005
• 19 - 2006
• 20 - 2007

The first 2 digits stands for the year of production.

This numbering scheme should apply to most (all?) products, not just Beolab 5s.
