"on" LED almost dead on Beocenter 9000

    Hello folks,

The LED light that indicates my Beocenter is switched on (the red dot on the right of the lower panel) is almost dead. Is this due to long working hours? Any ideas on how to repair or replace it?

    Hi apoboy

The red diode you refer to must be on the upper panel's right side if it's a bc9000 thats the standby. If you press the on/off button the remote what happens then?

    regards

    Hello birgerbum!

Actually I mean the LED that is the on/off button. The button itself works (touch area = ok) but the LED not.

    regards!

    Hi apopboy.

It's very seldom that the led itself is gone but it could the case,if the system works you can change the led by removing the lower glassplate you must remove the plate by removing 1 screw located in the left side bottom and push the plate to the right if I remember right be carefull many of them are loose.remove the tape and the white cap over the led, unmount the print and replace the led.must be the same type. You can download the servicemanal on this site if it's available.

    regards
