I have just bought a BeoPort and connected to it to my BeoSound 9000 with BeoLab 4500 speakers. If I turn on the BS9000 using N.MUSIC or N.RADIO nothing is displayed on the BL4500. The displays are completely blank. If I shift from a different source, e.g. RADIO or CD, to N.MUSIC or N.RADIO the display source and program/track information hangs (stays what it was) while the volume information still reacts to commands.
Has anyone else had this experience? Does anyone know if it is fixable? I know they would probably say "Phono" or A.TP2 like on my BeoLab 3500 in the kitchen (until I get the software update), but that would still be nicer than nothing, and give me volume without having to chose another source first.
If I connect the BL4500 directly to the BeoPort powerlink output, nothing is ever displayed on them. Perhaps this is because I am not using the PC software but BM-link on a mac? As far as I can understand, the PC software is required for some of the BeoPort functionality.
My BeoSound 9000 is MkI - updated the software to handle N.MUSIC last week by swapping the chip (thanks for the guidance elsewhere on the site). Everything work fine except the displays on the BeoLab 4500's
Does anyone have useful tips on how to make the BeoLab 4500 displays behave in combination with BeoSound 9000 in N.MUSIC mode?
Cheers
Jesper
