Has anyone had a go at recovering the frets on the S55s? looks tricky with the aluminium trim around the edge
I am refurbishing a pair with new drivers etc but seems a shame if they are not immaculate visually!
Thanks for any insights

Ray, I have a pair of S45's which I think are the same size. How bad are you originals? If you want I can dig them out and take a look at mine. From memoery they were in good condition.

For millions of years, mankind lived just like the animals. Then something happened which unleashed the power of our imagination. We learned to talk and we learned to listen..
Thanks Craig
It's just a small hole in one of the upper frets...i am being fussy
They aren't too difficult to do. Use the original cloth as a template and don't be tempted into stretching the new stuff too much. You will also need to source some very lightweight material or you will struggle to reassemble them. Needless to say - be careful not to damage the aluminium trim pieces.
