Many of you have probably seen it before, but I can't think of a better looking espresso machine.
I bought one my self last week.
The green is a bit extreme, I got a white one. It makes a great espresso too.

Sorry, but this hurts my eyes. I find it looks horrible, especially the colour.
But if you like it, then buy it!

I saw it in green, and didn't like it, but in the red, white or black it is much nicer. A pity they don't seem to do black/chrome body/base combinations though - the black and chrome ones would look nice if available with contrasting base...

Black and chrome would make it too obvious that it's a tipped over Beolab 5 on acid

There was a Europiccola Deluxe with a Jolly grinder and the special tray on eBay last week - sadly I'm too poor at the moment. Still, my Magimix does a splendid job for now...

In Finland 790 euro, but I got mine on sale, 480 euro. Not bad at all. Also got an Ascaso grinder.
I can recommend the Ascaso, a very good and inexpensive grinder. (230 euro)

I bought a white/chrome one. Yes the green is extreme, but if was the only good quality image I found.

I bought the quite superb Giotto recently - after buying numerous 'cheap' espresso makers over the last 10 years:

I can't speak more highly of this espresso maker. I did some research before buying and it was rated higher than just about anything else. I can't find any fault. Expensive, but will pay for itself over time.

Thus far we have discussed the merits of the design and appearance. I do like the overall looks ( colour, shape, functionality of controls ). Nice and bright.
More importantly though, how well does the unit function in making Expresso ? Pros, cons ? Any owners have a review they might like to share with us ?
( Keith, if you're reading this post, I just brought back another Rimowa XXL load of 15 Kg Cafe do Santa Clara Expresso beans ).

Nice Moxxey. Good to read that someone else is into good build quality and grinding their own beans (what grinder do you use, BTW). I've had this discussion on another forum I frequent for doctors, and it seems that everyone there is completely sold on plastic pod machines, or at the very best bean to cup stuff you could buy in a big John Lewis. I guess an excess of dosh doesn't always translate into a similar surfeit of taste...
My second-hand ten year old La Pavoni still ploughs on like a trooper though!
One day I'd like a fully-plumbed commercial machine, but this article in the guardian from a while back puts me off!

Unfortunately I only use a relatively cheap grinder as I spent all the money allocated towards the Giotto! It's just a cheap £80 Dualit ginder. But, it does the job. I'll upgrade that later in the year.
You can get a fully-plumbed version of that Giotto, but I went for the standalone version. It's very heavy, too, as it's solid stainless steel. It's about £1200 for the standalone version.
