Beomaster 1100 in white colour wanted (Germany)

    Dear all,

I'm searching for a white BM 1100. Condition must be working and good.
Mint is not required but preferred :-)

    Kind regards,
    Lenni

Re: Beomaster 1100 in white colour wanted (Germany)

Vintage B&O in white looks fantastic! Some time ago I started too a new B&O collection in white(like f.e. my Beocord 1200). B&O in white is completely timeless and can match very well with even the most recent equipments.
I don't know if a white Beomaster 1100 has really existed (perhaps Dillen could us confirm). I am myself loocking for a white Beomaster 901 and a white Beocenter 1400 but I have a doubt as for their existence, though I have already found a beautiful Beocord 1101 in white?... So... Hmm

    Beocenter 1800 too.

    Perhaps a photo, Martin? Devil
Do you know if the Beomaster 800 and the Beocenters 1400, 1500 or even 1600 have been produced in white too?

Re: Beomaster 1100 in white colour wanted (Germany)

I'm pretty sure that I once saw a white Beocenter 1400 or 1500 but I'm
not sure if it was mine, I don't think so. Probably only here for repairs.
Anyway, I will dig out the white Beomaster 901 and take a photo or two.

In the meantime enjoy a nice and equally rare white Beocenter 4000:

Re: Beomaster 1100 in white colour wanted (Germany)

    Dear Martin,

    very nice, thanks.
Are the 901 side panels made of wood or aluminium? Would you sell it?
The Beocord 1101 has the top cover made of wood and the sides in Alu white.
I cannot imagine that B&O produced the Beocord in white and didn't have a Master 1100 in white as well...

    Kind regards,

    Lenni

O.M.G.! This is the first time I can see one! Cool
Thousand thanks for the photo, Martin!
By chance, would it be for sale? Whistle

    Hi Lenni,

The Beomaster 1100 is listed in rosewood, teak and in white on Beocentral! A clue more in the mystery of the white B&O vintage products! Wink

Re: Beomaster 1100 in white colour wanted (Germany)

The white surfaces are completely smooth.
The top is wood with a thick white lacquer I think.
The sides are plastic with a lip that goes around the rear corner, the sides are all white - also inside.

    Both the Beomaster 901/1100 and matching cassettedecks were produced in two versions;
One with aluminum side panels (with veneer) held in place by little grub screws under the top cover
and another with plastic sides (normally black with wood veneer) with the above mentioned
rear lip, held by little taps on the inside(s) that pushes into holes in the radio metal chassis.
This Beomaster is of the latter type and I don't know if a white BM901/1100
was made in the aluminum version.
I only know of this one in white and it's not for sale.   Laughing

It wouldn't be too hard to convert a BM1100 to white, I think.
The Beocord's shown in this thread are wonderful but actually wouldn't
match a BM1100 which has black alu parts.
They would match a BM901 better, despite the BM901's lower profile.
Beocord 1100 has black metal parts.
    Beocord 1101 aluminum.

A Beocord 900 or 901 would be the perfect choice for a BM901 but finding one - and in white
I think would be next to impossible, if at all produced.

Watch out for that collector bug... Whistle

    Martin
