Inspired by a post in the Beosound 5 forum about its capcity to store 1,000 CDs in lossless mode, I thought we could ask how many CDs Beoworlders have in their collection ...

... in my case, 600 CDs at this point in time (bought 7 today!)

I have about 1500 CDs, increasing month by month...

Last time I counted: about 400.

Today: I guess about 500

I would say roughly 700. With some 30 unoppened, and 200 that I have only played once. Sounds like I need a BS5 to rediscover my collection.

I love their song 'The Day Before You Came'. Think it has a quality matched only by 'The Winner Takes it All'.

The video for ' The Day....' is particularly significant as it portrays a picture of a profound change in their mood and their relationship with each other-

Actually I've no idea. My guess is about 200 or so.

About 500-550 CDs / nearly 6000 songs on my BM5 - but no ABBA.

Apprx 1800 easily accessible and another apprx 2000 stored away. About 5-10% are CDmaxi'es.
Plus about 800 LP's, 400 12" maxies (from my mobile discoteque days) and 1400 45's.

Complete ABBA catalogue.

I have around 6500 albums on CD and about the same on vinyl.

probably around 50, although i do have an i pod with plenty of music on it

I had about 600-700 in school but I've been doing Digital for so long I have no idea what I have album-wise. Most of my CDs are in storage while (whilst) I listen to their digital counterparts. A more appropriate question may be "how many songs do you have?" as, sadly, I rarely buy 'complete' albums anymore. I'd suspect that I'm not alone.

In present I have 1800 CD's and 2800 LP's and about 700GB of Lossless Audio on NAS.

As you can see my favourite media is the LP because it has that original sound nothing digital can offer. But at the moment I often buy audio at the itunes store because it's very easy to buy tracks with my iphone.

i have no idea how many cd's, but not really that many (i know exactly where at least 6 are )

maybe ~100 cds / ~200 albums / ~200 cassettes / ~20,000 songs on itunes...

 

Mine is between 150 and 200.

About 250-300 cds

About 700 at last count. Glad you lot have more than me, makes me feel better about having the biggest collection of anyone I know!

Haven't counted for a long time but I am guessing about 3-400 of each.

1800 cd's

CDpedia tells me that I have 872 CDs and I have 170GB of music in iTunes. I haven't bought a CD for over a year. I prefer to download my music now.

658 CDs... Bought 2 last week ;-)

I have just counted and there are 64 CDs. I had about 100 more before but I copied them to iTunes then sold them on Amazon a couple of years ago so I could still get something back before CDs become redundant to the digital world. The one's I have kept are my favorites and they will used on the BeoSound 9000, BeoSound Century and in the car!

You do realize that's very naughty if you ask the relevant organizations, don't you?

I haven't sold a single record in my life. Some have been lent and never came back, though... I think I have around 250 CD's and about 100 vinyls, and it can go weeks that I don't listen to any of them, I mostly listen to radio. I think my digital audio is limited to ten or so mp3s...
