Analog via the socket, decoder (adsl box from provider -> hopefully through masterlink).

I masterlinked my bv1 myself its very easy, get a large junction box though as the small can hardly squeeze all the cables in. If you are only linking 1 tv from the master you won't need the amplifier.

The amp is not need for its amplifier function but to split and remerge the signal, as the BV7 TV does not pass the signal through unlike older TVs.
