Well i am a owner of beocenter 2 for about 4 years now. My problem is that none of my remotes are working on it anymore , niether beo 4 nor beo 5 as if it accepts no commands at all .... it works fine without the remotes but not with them ...... Tried unplugging it etc but still no luck ...Any Ideas whats the Deal with this ? before i go to the service department ?

What option number is it in? (do you know how to check this?)

(on the beo4) press and hold power off and list together, scroll to find option, press go, and press 1

Is it in a masterlinked setup, or on it's own?

If you have speaker connected to BC2 set it to A-OPT 1 (BV8 to V.OPT 1). If no speakers
    are connected set the BC2 to A.OPT 0 (BV8 to V.OPT 2!)

nope no speakers are connected to the beocenter 2    , its just the beocenter2 and the beovision 8   tried BC2 to A.OPT 0 (BV8 to V.OPT 2!)  but the remote wont work with the beocenter 2 then .... hmmm it only works when beocenter 2  is at A.option 1
