Comparison Beosound 2 and Beosound 6

    Hi all.

I'm a Beosound 2 user in Japan. I highly evaluate the sound quality of Beosound 2. Used with genuine A8, it sounds so clear, better than my iPhone.

So, I'm thinking about buying Beosound 6. How about the sound quality of Beosound 6 compared with beosound 2 ?

How about LOW MID HIGH balances ?

How about sound stage, scales ?

Some people point that it is made by Samsung as a negative factor .

But I'm really positive about it because Samsung's electronics technology is great. It has been realized by manufacturing  so many cell phones.

A combination between top sound tuning experiences of B&O and top circuit engeneering of Samsung. I'm expecting it.

In fact, B&O Serenata has gotten a great reputation for its speaker and Ice power.

I know Beosound 6's memory, interfaces and format compatibilities are poorer than Apple and SONY.

But I never mind those things. All I want is sound quality.

If you have one,  answer me.

Beosound 6 has much lower volume, but slightly better sound quality (a wider soundstage). I'm keeping my BS2 thanks, it's a much better product in my experience.

Are you surprised that your BS2 sounds better than an iPhone?

    Hi Dave,

Beosound 6 has lower volume and wider sound stage ?

Thanks for the good information. I didn't know about it.

How about sound balance ? High, Mid, Low etc.

As far as I feel, Ipod touch and Iphone has the best sound quality in all iPod familiy though some say iPod 5G is better.

But I like BS2 better than iPhone. BS2 has richer High range and balance. iPhone sounds boomy to my ear especilally when its connected to outernal spearkers.

I think it is because of iPhone's noise reduction circuit. iPhone radiates so many signals like 3G, WIFI and Bluetooth. To avoid the interferences, iphone has strong noise reduction circuit and programs.

Basically, the function works great. But sometimes it removes essential High ranges with inessential noises.

I guess BS2 has really simple machanism. It enable simple and pure sound though it has much white noise compared with other current digital audios.

BS6's main component is also differnt from BS2 completely. So Im wondering the differences. I want to see more reviews.

In terms of the design, I prefer BS2 to BS6.

The case of the BS2 should be a good shield for interference. When I got my BS2 I noted the higher noise level compared to iPod. But the BS2 has much better sound and wider stereo image. The noise level is likely to be related to the headphones used. I use A8's and the noise is clearly there. Haven't tried other headphones.

I like genuine A8 earphone very much too. It does not require high input level to play sound.

I think that is why BS2's noise does not stand out with genuine A8.

With some headphones which requires high input level, BS2's volume has to be turned up.

That distorts sound and causes noise.

It may be improved if battery can be reinstalled with current high wattage one.

The stailnless case may be working as an ideal shield for interference.

Anyway, the combination BS2 and A8 is fantastic.
