    Please help with link

    Hello

I have a bv7 mk2 and a bc6-23 in another room. Everything is hooked up with link. I can watch dvd on the bc6 via link and I can watch tv when pressink link-->tv on the remote (means that I use the tv tuner from the bv7). But I can not watch tv in the linkroom by just pressing tv...? Why doesnt the 'rf out' on the bv7 send the tv signal to the bc6?

    Pleas help?

    Regards Muhl

It sounds to me if you have the wrong option set - I wonder if you have it set to option 4 rather than option 6. Try setting it again - TV to standby and then LIST and stand by at the same time. Scroll to Option? then to V.Opt and then press 6.

    Hello

Thanks for your answer but the options are already set as you describe. Everything with the link works just fine in the link room. I can just not watch the regular tv signal in there.

    What can be wrong....?

    Best regards Muhl

In the Config Guide, a RF Link Amplifier is mentioned:

The Aerial signal is distributed to the TV in the Link Room from a
RF Link Amplifier.  Type 4052 / Type 4053

But it worked fine on the Avant I had before. No it just doesn't distribute the signal.

If I take the signal cable and blug it directly in the wall. The bc6 shows the signal, but if I plug it in the rf out on the bv7 there is no signal at all. Only if I press link tv.??? Why is that?

Ignace is correct. The Avant is able to send RF without an amplifier - the newer sets need one - it is designed to give a stronger signal than that put out by the Avant which could give problems at times (mine is prone to interference from strong external signals). You should have been advised by your dealer that you would need one.

Yes, sounds like you just have the link frequency of your BV7 at your link aerial to the BC6. I also think you need the link amplifier and if you already have one connect the aerial in correctly. Keith got the right answer. You will find it here: http://forum.beoworld.org/forums/p/3316/24528.aspx#24528

But the picture is perfect when watching link tv and dvd in the link room. Why does that work without a link amplifier then?

    Re: Pleas help with link

The number of TV channels in the customer’s home has increased significantly and
it has therefore been decided to introduce a new RF modulator in future
BeoVisions. The reason for this is the wish to ensure optimal picture quality in link
    rooms.
By using the new modulator in the BeoVisions together with the RF link amplifier,
the customer achieves superior picture quality in both main and link room.
As the new modulator is distributing only internal signals from for instance DVD,
satellite etc. on the RF output, it is necessary to combine the modulated signal with
the channels from the aerial or cable network by means of the RF Link Amplifier
which is developed specifically to support the new modulator.

Just a thought, but if you are getting a signal with DVD but not TV - are you sure that the second TV is tuned in to the channels?
