The Loewe Spheros 42HD is a decent TV. I bought one for the living room a few years ago, just before they left the US market. Picture is excellent on HD, kind of blurry on SD (not as good as the old Panasonic tube). Sound quality surprisingly is very poor - boomy muddy bass, tinny highs (BV8-32 is much better). However the motorized floor stand gives it a B&O flavor Big Smile. I remember thinking, looking at the specs, what a strange resolution it had!

or can you any other model(non B&O) recommend it.

what B&O tv is perfect for BS1?  which model, type, SW

I am using a Panasonic TH-50PH9UK 50" Plasma with my Beosystem 1. I believe it is the same base panel that is used for the Beovision 4, but at a fraction of the cost. It's a great panel, and works well with the BS1.

I second the panasonic plasma. If you are starting from scratch I think it's probably the best way to get true b&o integration with your BS1.

Whatever current generation of that series of Panasonic Plasma is probably best. The point is that the BS1 will assume it is a BV4 and act accordingly.

and I use computer cable(rgb to rgb) to my son's tv(17")

but beosystem 1 makes "cliking"sound when I putsh TV button on the beo4...

no signal on small , disney, toystore, my son's LCD tv ....I use for test.....  I don't have TV yet

    Do I need a BV4 for test

and maybe pal signal set up on system 1 then still can see noise......  right?

..... dummy design, no power button, no indicate light on (hard to tell power on or not)......... unusual cable position..

I belive that sound is  good... I know that my bl2000, 2500, 4000, 6000, 8000...... they are good

Re: What's tv good match with Beosystem 1 (whitout b&o)

You're definitely going to need a IR eye/reciever. I know I hooked it up to an analog CRT once just to play around when I first got mine, but I also know it was tricky to get a image. It needs to be set up with a special code for the display it's going to be driving. Yours could be set up for a projector or something that the Digital LCD circuit in your kids TV doesn't like. It may be worth contacting a friendly dealer or installer to guide you through the setup once you get the screen you want. It's a great unit but experimenting with it requires a bit of technical knowledge. Check out the BS1 service guide PDF on this site to give you an idea of what is in the service menus of the unit, but tread VERY lightly if you dare go into the service menu or you may end up with a 50 pound door stop.
