OMG!!! Look who's in the BeoLounge!!

Just got an email from B&O, and was hit in the face by this bloke!

    BeoSound 5. First impressions last

We spoke to Lee Marriott, owner of independent online fan site BeoWorld, to get his take on BeoSound 5 - Bang & Olufsen’s new all-digital audio player.

They even included Lee's slightly critical opinion on CD reader's missing presence in BS5 ... interesting, some ace up their sleeves? :-)

Well, that article certainly brought several Beoworld members to the B&O BeoLounge who would otherwise not have visited.

It's a nice article and it does seem that after a difficult introduction for B&O, there is a greater acceptance of the Beosound 5 in the marketplace.

For me, from day one I could see that the design and general style were certainly B&O, but there was one functionality area where is fails and that is using the Beo4 or Beo5 to control it. Yes you can control it, if you can see the screen from where you are sitting as you don't normally stand in front of the unit, a wireless approach would have been one alternative and could still be done in future products.

This will be one of those on-going debates which will often be raised in the same way as the merits of two way infra red remotes are today

    Regards Keith....

Strange - I felt for sure they'd use the "Jogging" pictures - it may have drawn more ladies into the whole B&O thing (Trinny & Susannah for a start)!Laughing

The soft focus, grainy monochrome shot is definitely the way to go though, it takes years off the real age of the sitter and can mask a multitude of skin conditionsWinkYes - thumbs up

In all seriousness, a big pat on the back to Lee for getting his mug in the B&O newsletter, hopefully this will result in extra visitors to Beoworld and lots of new members.

It's great to see that Lee's hard work on this site and forum is paying off.

Also the fact that B&O recognizes Lee and Beoworld as a force to be taken into account is not be underestimated. The article gives a fair review of the beosound5 that is not made up by a salesperson but as seen through the eyes of a true enthousiast.

It will give Beoworld a little push in the back as well as it will bring Beoworlders to the Beolounge.

Well done Lee !!!!!  Yes - thumbs up

The very same! (although it is difficult to tell from the photograph - I was going to say it was  "touched up" but it's more like "agressively groped")Laughing

I apologise Lee. The idea was just to make the post and see what members came up with.
I did read the article and was pleased you mentioned the wireless issue and the uploading of CDs.
I am also proud of you for accomplishing what you have!  The relationship you have established with B&O is excellent news. Dealers too, will now see that Beoworld is a force to be reckoned with, and is held in high esteem by Struer.
From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for what you have achieved!

It is very clear that B&O is doing a big marketing push on the internet.

Beolounge, inviting Beoworld representatives and a lot of tech bloggers to product launches, presence on twitter...

Surely dimples should be surgically enhanced - look what it did for Kirk Douglas! (then again he was handsome)!

Actually I was wondering if there's any chance of a link to Beoworld from the main B&O site (if only for the vintage kit)? How cool would that be?

Re: OMG!!! Look who's in the BeoLounge!!

I agree - seeing Lee in the BeoLounge is visual proof that BeoWorld is accepted by the Danes.

Lee has done great things for BeoWorld and took us to another level with the Danes in Struer. A healthy relationship indicated by his comments in the article.
