Do we have any confirmation about the launch period?

I was about ordering the new BV7-40 without the DVD player and I am now wondering if I'd better wait for this BV 10 or not. It sounds to be a beautiful TV, slimmer and easier to use than the BV 7. I'd like it with a better sound than the BV 8-40...
Can we be sure about the launch of this TV? I'd like to have this confirmation.
Thanks, Marc.

I would expect that the current BV7 would have better picture and sound processing then the BV10 will have due to the integrated BS3 even though the BV10 will have an improved panel.
Not an easy decision I admit but the deals for the BV7 seem to be very tempting.

Its got to be worth waiting to see how it performs!
My friend at B&O said they design new products from the ground up, maybe thats changed now! If it doesn't have an inbuilt dvd then B&O are going have to sort something out.

I doubt it. The BV7-40 MKIV, without DVD, will be around the same price as the BV10 (£5000-£6000). It could either share the same chassis or be based on the forthcoming 'mini BS3' based chassis that's planned for the BV7-32 MKV.

B&O talk about the new digital platform for their future products.
The BeoSound 5 is one of them but it's an Audio System.
Don't you think that the BV10 will be the first video system based on this new platform ?
And some of the future BeoVision will adopt the new platform, a digital evolution of the BeoSystem 3 (BeoSystem 4 ??) ?

I'm definitely interested, although I did see somewhere a lower price point!
If its an LCD BV5 with a decent panel and good connectivity then I could be tempted.....
Although my Avant still has some years left in it, although I'm hardly complaining about the picture, just the connection options!

Roger:
It should be in stores by Xmas according to the CEO.

OK.
If it looks like a BV5, I'm starting some savings.
BV5 & BV9 are the only "price for the value" B&O TV

I don't understand why everybody can't just wait and see officially what products are going to be like.
One person makes something up then it becomes fact, then somebody else reads it and argues about that 'fact' and then adds his own 'facts' and it all becomes a bit rediculous.
It makes me laugh that people debate on the features and design and the thing isn't even built yet!!
So, I have a good friend in Denmark who says it has 5 Acoustic Lenses, 18 ICE Power amps, a 56,000,000,000,000 : 1 contrast ratio and 4 hidden Blu Ray players, a HD recorder with 64 TB storage and it beams movies directly from space.
Interestingly it also has space thrusters underneath as a placement option.
Please discuss :-)

That's a really great feature set. I wonder if it isn't too late in the design process to include a kitchen sink option. Imagine the aluminum in the sink matching the color of the TV bezel! It'd be a classic for sure, and another first for B&O. I've always hated the long walk to wash my hands in the kitchen.

Not to worry. To compensate for the generous features now standard in the BeoVision 10, the BeoVision 7 will have robotic legs, like Honda's Azimo, enabling the TV to follow you around the house. Optional arms and hands will be available so that it can actually wrestle competing televisions and smash them to pieces.
