    MX 5000 and wavy picture

Hello, I have started to notice a wavyness in my picture primarly on the right and and top and a so to speak bleeding of text.  I am wondering if this is a sign that the tube is starting to go bad or if it is another component.  Thanks....Mark

Hard to say for sure, but many owners of this circa-1989 TV find that the capacitors on the various logic boards eventually need replacement. There is both the official service manual as well as a specialized repair document available online for Silver or Gold members. Any authorized B&O repair place should be able to perform the fixes, although you may need to think twice about the cost.

Thanks allot for the response.  I don't have any repair centers in my area (rural Minnesota) but I am a collector and would like to keep the setup I have intact.
