10,000th Member Celebrations
Hi everyone!
Just to let the membership know that we will be having a bit of a celebration when we hit the magic '10,000 Member' mark..
We will be giving away some prizes, conducting a few interviews with members and moderators, and generally reflecting on where we started and where we have got to! Personally, i'm really looking forward to it - and it shouldn't be too long before we hit the target..
For the record, the prizes we will be giving away will be available to the first 10,000 registered members - wether Bronze, Silver or Gold Members - and the only criteria for being eligible for the top prize is that the member has made at least ONE post on the forums. Not much to ask, granted! The other prizes will be for absolutely anyone, even if no posts have been made. Prizes are yet to be decided, but they will involve lots of B&O and BeoWorld 'goodies', with First Prize being a very exciting 'package' for collectors of B&O !!
Anyway - i will say no more, and nearer the time i will announce the gifts we will be giving away alongs with details of how/when! Also remember we have coming up the 2009 'BeoWorld Awards' pretty soon, and also yet another Prize Draw!!
Here's to being part of the best site on the internet

Re: 10,000th Member Celebrations
It is really remarkable that such a huge membership has been achieved in such a short space - and every one of you can sit back and feel proud to be a credit to the human race. Never have I been involved in such a friendly site with as massive a diversity as that which Beoworld enjoys
Chris.

Re: 10,000th Member Celebrations
Excellent achievement. 10,000 members in such a short a time. That said this must be the friendliest and most helpful forum on the net by far. Thanks, once again Lee, the moderators, members, sponsors and everyone else who has contributed to this site.
Beoworld's twenty-eighth ninth prize winner and fifty-first second prize winner. Best £30 I've ever spent!

Great achievment for the site! Thanks are due to everyone involved in making this possible. I also would be interested in the breakdown of gold silver and bronze members. Out of curiosity Lee, how many posts have been made on the forums over the past two years?
Robert.

Having said that, I can't believe that for ~106,000 threads there are only ~168,000 posts! Most threads I frequent average a lot more than 1.6 posts! Am I missing something??
