    BeoGram CD50 dead.......

    Hi there!!

     

    Got a  CD50 from ebay...... this fine machine seems to be completely dead.

     

    No display, no function.

     

    But in extremely good condition....;-))

     

    Any ideas???

    If there is no sign of life at all (no standby dot?) I would guess there is a fault in the power supply.

    Usually the reason for this are bad caps.

    No standby - keine Lampe.

     

    Strom gemessen - bis zu den Sicherungen neben dem Trafo alles oki.

    In dem Fall kommt du ohne Serviceunterlagen wohl nicht viel weiter.

    Irgendwas auffälliges zu sehen? Ausgelaufene Kondensatoren?

    Check the voltage regulators and their solders.
    I've seen cases where the whole section with voltage regulators and
    the cooling fin had broken away from the rest of the board during shipping.

    Wie Martin bereits geschrieben hat - das sind die Teile die an den Kühlrippen befestigt sind. Einfach mal durchmessen ob die noch mit dem restlichem Board in Kontakt sind.
