Re: Pristine Bang& Olufsen Beocenter 2000 with B& O stand and S-30 speakers

    Jimmy2Shoes:

He reckoned if he sold everything separately then he would get £70 for the cabinet, £50 for the speakers and another £100+ for the center itself.

Not a snowball in hell's chance.

What he is quoting is the very maximum he would get if 2 idiots started a bidding war on all items! He is trying to make it sound a bargain but believe me - it isn't. If he can get that amount selling it seperately then ask yourself why he isn't doing this?

    Chris.

The use of metaphors should be avoided like the plague. They're like a red rag to a bull to me.

I quite agree. To put it another way, if the 2000 is worth £100+ without speakers how come the updated model with the same  "£50" speakers hasn't attracted any bids when the start price is 99p!

Suggest that he puts it on eBay then you can both see what it's worth. I wouldn't give him £50 for the whole lot and I suspect that's about what ebay will say as well. None of it is desireable except of course by him and you!
