    help or advice needed

in my house my lounge i have

    beovision 7

    beolab 8000 / 6000

    beolab 2

    beosound 3000

my lab 6000 are rears and when on, pick up classic fm, even tho the radio is not on, so if watching TV or a movie and you have it in speaker 5, you get the full sound from the TV and also in the background the radio.

now i know its not coming from the beosound 3000 as i have removed this, so its coming from the mains or cabling.  what can be done to eliminate this.

Firstly I would try to isolate the source of the interference - detach the sky box firstly, then determine if it still happens - does this occur, for example, on dvd playback as well?

OK so i messed about with the cables and speakers, I changed the speakerlink cable but this particular speaker still picks up radio signals, so changed over the mains lead, still the same,  swapped the speaker with one of the 8000's  and the radio has gone, then took a 6000 from the loft room and put that in place and the radio signal was back.

so I am still lost,  I disconnected the beosound 3000 but I still pick up radio signals in the speaker,  can anone shed some light on this its driving me mad now

Try swapping the scart leads you are using for any extra boxes e.g sky. A poorly screened scart lead can pick up extra signals and can be heard in the background

Sorry in advance for the not very constructive post.
    Classic FM!
At least your gremlin has taste! Imagine if it liked Radio 1!

Seriously though, I hope you get it sorted, it would appear that one of your cables is acting as an aerial.

Thing is I changed all the cables yesterday and run a new PL cable to the speaker and got the same results, Classic FM, this continued even when i changed the speaker and mains lead,  the speaker in question is on the longest run of cable and does not pass over any other cables.

I also tried both PL mk2 and PL mk3 with the same results

Try hooking the BL6000s up to your BeoSound 3000 only .. no BV7, Lab8s, Speaker 5 in the mix.

If its gone it is somewhere in the area of BV7 .. next step would be to remove all connected sources, dvd players, cable/sat boxes, and see if it still there or not. Then add a source 1-by1 to see when it appears.

OK found out that it was an offending 5mtr scart lead that i used with a sony DVD/HDD recorder causing the sound issues,  I have now disconnected this scart lead and all is well.

now my problem is that i have to find another quality scart lead to replace this one
