Anyone know if its possible to put an MX7000 on a LX5500 non motorised stand??
Either as is, or by changing the base plate??

The MX7000 should fit on as is. There are only two base plates for 28 inch TV's. One for MX series and one for LX series.

I am not convinced! You asked about an MX on an LX stand - not an MX5500 stand. The LX stand will be wider to accommodate the different chassis with the speakers to the side rather than below.

Correct Brian, I misread the OP. It won't fit unless you change the base plate and I have seen some that were welded on rather than bolted.
