I have a UK beocom for sale, and a interested bidder in Germany (or, certainly in Europe). Would the phone work? are the phone system/voltages, etc compatiable?

It should. Voltage and phone system are the same. However:

• an adapter for the power plug is needed
• an adapter for the phone plug is needed (both he can get from let's say conrad.de)
• Some features might not work such as CLIP

But all  basic features should work (as long as it's an analog line with an analog phone). I have an old UK phone (non B&O though), and it works.
