    BeoGram 7000 white (LP-player)

    Hi,

Looking for a BeoGram 7000 (not the CD) to replace my own, that's broken and apparantly not fixable! Sad. Since my BeoMaster 7000 is white, this should be white too!

(If anyone wants it for parts it's free to take...I always feel bad when I through away B&O-stuff)

Out of interest, what is wrong with your current one?

Yes, I find it hard to believe that it is unfixable, unless it's been jumped on or set fire to!
Some of the other Beograms parts are identical, so perhaps the offending part may be replaced from a donor machine, not neccesarily white.

    Poor me, never win owt!

    Hi Andy,

Thanks for the tip! In this case, it's the carriage for the pick-up that needs replacement parts, so would any tangential arm phonogram have an identical set-up, or what beograms ought I be on the look-out for?

Just a guess...........the hook for the string has broken off?

Quite right...and according to the service people it's not a spare part they're in possession of.

Don't throw your BG7000 away yet!

Chris (medogsfat) has repaired one of these IIRC. There was a thread on the forum about it. Suggest you send him a PM or start a conversation or whatever you do now!

    Regards Graham

I did indeed repair mine - you have a PM Milton.

I've sent you a PM too. If you can't fix it yourself, I know a man who can!

    Cheers
