    earlier beolab speakers

Evening to all, Why did B&O stop putting displays in there speakers?  They look fantastic!

I agree - the Beolab 3500 still has a display though. It is a reasonable alternative to two way communication. It does require fully wired Powerlink though.

I agree too. I bought a BL3500 recently mostly for the reason that it had the display. I would have liked to have bought a more up to date model but nothing exists that has a display on it hence why I did not! A well raised point actually, often overlooked. I wonder why they did stop this?

I think the display looked great, but couldn't really imagine it on a Beolab 5, 8000, or 3... The new speakers are clearly designed to lack a display.

The pentas where as made for a display, the Beolab 5000 panels likewise.

The 3500 is a link speaker so I can see why!

They could include displays on the new ones, it could be similar to the beosound 1 display. maybe not so easy on the lab 3, I wonder whether they will ever produce a larger version of the lab 3?
