    Tracking Force Help Needed...

    Smile

I finally got around to buying a Shure tracking force scale.  I have a Beogram 3000 that somehow has lost it's tracking force indicator (2nd owner).  So I used a dental mirror and a dental pick to adjust to the correct force according to the Shure scale.  I am using a gently used Soundsmith stylus.

My question now is, the albums seem to be bass heavy/midrange tweeter light.  Would this indicate too much force, or to little?

    Any thoughts?

Well, I think I may have fiqured out what was up.  Is there such a thing as a bad pressing of a record?

I put on my new album of Robin Thicke.  It's what is bass heavy/treble light.  Put on a known album, and all sounded good!

Definitely! Some shocking LPs have been made. I did see your original post and was wracking my brains for what might be wrong! Laughing I was thinking you might have two RIAAs fitted some how!
