Capacity of SD cards in BeoSound 4

I'am a bit confused about the maximum capacity of a SD card which you can put in a BeoSound4. I read a.o. in the data sheet on the B&O site that 2 GB would be the maximum capacity. Today I've download the servicemanual from BeoWorld and discovered that "All capacity" storage SD-media can be used.

1 st Question: Has there been any change in specs over the last few years or does both mean that you can put a SD card of any capacity in the system as long as you do not exceed 2 GB of music information?

2nd Question: Does anyone know the latest BS4 software version?

3nd Question: I am considering to change from BS3000 to BS4. I would be very interested to know if anyone of you did make the same change, is happy with that decision and why. Also, I would be very interested to know if BS4 owners find the SD facility a very useful feature which one would not like to miss (at all).

I would be most happy to hear (and learn from) the experiences of other BS4 users.

Finally, I am Dutch, so sorry for writing double dutch!Laughing

Re: Capacity of SD cards in BeoSound 4

SDHC cards are a new "standard" in SD cards. If I remember correctly SDHC (high capacity) goes from 4GB up.

So I would guess 4GB to be the absolute maximum the BS4 would support.

The BS4 may be able to support SDHC cards through SW updates. My Leica M8 camera did not support SDHC cards at the beginning, but after a while there was a software update that made HC supported.
