Beomaster/CD jumps 2 tracks when using remote to skip 1

    Hello!

I have a very awkward problem with my beomaster 6500. When I use a remote (beolink 1000, 5000 or 7000) to skip to next track on the CD, the beogram jumps two! The same problem with the beomaster, when I increase the volume it is increased twice as much as I press on the remote. Has anyone experienced this before?

    Regards,

    Simon Bring

Hi Simon, I think you must have an audio and a video master connected and they are both picking up the IR signal hence the duplication.
If you have, then you need to put the audiomaster into option 0 so it doesn't pickup a signal
    What components are you using?

Have to agree with Andy on this one. Had the same problem with my Beocenter9000 and BV3.

Re: Beomaster/CD jumps 2 tracks when using remote to skip 1

    Hello!

I have a Beosystem 6500(with a beogram 4500) with beolab 5000 and beolab 4500 and Cona. To that I have connected a Beovision MX 6000 to the AUX input on the stereo.

    I control the setup with a beolink7000, beolink5000, beolink1000 and a beo4.

How do I set the MX to option "0"?

     Sincerely,

    Simon Bring

You need to set the 6500 to option 0 and the MX6000 to option 2. Then all commands will be routed through the MX.

With everything in standby take your beolink 1000 and press

Picture 2 Store then Sound 0 Store

The standby light on the relevent item should blink as the command is accepted.

Graham, you might have confused the issue by saying put the 7000 in option 0.
The only 7000 he has is his remote!

Quite correct Andy so I've edited the post.

    Ok, Thank you!

I will try with the video option 2 and audio option 0, I previously tried with both on option 1 but that did not work too good..

    Hi Simon

Keep in mind that an v.opt 2 and a.opt 0 setup means that you have to connect the speakers to the MX (if you haven't already done).

Strange that a master-master (both in opt 1) didn't worked well. I have a BC9500+Beolabs connected via Datalink to an MX7000 both in option1 and it works like a charm. What problems did you experienced in the master-master setup?

    cheers

    Hi!

Actually, when testing it again, the master-master setup works best! Otherwise I cannot control the stereo the way I want. I do not know why it did not work before, the signal got duplicated anyway(My TV is not very reliable I think). But now it works!

     Thanks!

    Simon
