Looking for option in servicemenu HDR-2

When recording from the STB there is a problem. The decoder has to startup before the recording can start.

This proces takes 45 seconds and the STB did not proces the channnel number send by the HDR-2.

The manual of the HDR-2 told me that there is an option in de servicemenu to solve this problem. I know how to enter the servicemenu, but not witch option and the value.

Can someone tell me what to do?

    Hi Piet.

I see you are a gold member. Why don't you download the service manual which is in English?

It's under the products -> user & service manuals-> Digital media -> Hard disc recorders -> HDR2 and you got it!!

    Best regards

Re: Looking for option in servicemenu HDR-2

Thanks Spiros. I forgot about the manual. I have red it now and the entry I have tried yesterday should be the right one.

Menu AV Board, then M2 Information. It is the following option:

STB TIMER Is default set to 0 but can be altered if timing problems occours during start up with certain Set-top Boxes.

Yesterday I tried this. The number can be between 0 en 255. Not known what it represents (seconds, minutes, or something else).
I have tried number 2 (suppose it represents minutes). Result: nothing
I have tried number 60 (suppose it represents seconds). Result: decoder did't start and the 'record' indicator on the HDR-2 was flashing. No recording was made.

So I am on track, but what is the right number???? I don't know. It is a lot of work to try the all (255 numbers).

Does anyone know the right number and what it represents??
