Mcl 2P rewiring for 230/240 volt operation

    Hi All

Just inherited one of the above of Canadian origin (family friend) - my quetion is, anyone out there with a service manual or a transformer wiring diagram to enable conversion from 120volt operation to 230/240 volt operation , can it be done if so help please!

Trying to get it running to drive some pentavoxes!

Hi Tony, have you looked at the service manual for the ML/MCL Converter? They may have the same transformer inside.

The service manual for the Beolink passive is on site which also covers "ML/MCL converter etc...." and according to it then it is definately possible to do this. I would imagine it uses the same transformer as the MCL 2P can used for the same application.

Re: Mcl 2P rewiring for 230/240 volt operation

Just done some digging and according to one source the Beolink passive was based on the MCL 2P so converting the voltage in the transormer should be pretty straight forward judging by the service manual.

Having said all of this I'm not sure if the output of the MCL 2P would do penta's the justice they deserve.
