    STB shutting down by itself

I think it's discussed before, but couldn't find where....

I have the most recent SW for my BV7-40 MK III. The problem that the BV7 shuts itself down is gone. BUT once in a while my STB (Samsung DCB-H360R), connected by scart+RGB, shuts itself off.

Known problem / any solutions ? (or wait for another SW-update / buy a MK IV Wink)

Re: STB shutting down by itself

Is it the BV7 shutting it down or a problem with the STB itself?

Once the STB is on, take the IR blaster off of it and cover it so that the STB can't "see" it (or maybe it's easier to just disconnect the blaster from the TV, I don't know how it is set up). Then wait to see what happens.

I believe the STB might shut down by itself if it has some kind of a sleep timer function. Do you remember if it has ever shut down shortly after you have been actively using it, e.g changing channels or something?

    Mika,

    Thanks for your reply.

I'm going to try things out.

The shut-down is completely random, and happens maybe only one a week (with frequent use /changing of channels!).
