Re: Does anyone know what this is?

Not RDS - the current version has RDS! Stick out tongue

It's a 2300 with a DAB module, which resides in a separate box! Not many around I believe...

If you have seen that one on ebay, look further down listing as its not what is being sold.

It was the BeoCenter 2300 trial DAB version made in the early 1990's for the Danish Market only. It was to test DAB which has still never really taken off

That, specifically, is a photo of a 2300 DAB which was for sale at bbuy.dk in Copenhagen.

I know because they kindly allowed me to photograph it. :)

There's also a picture floating around with this 2300 together with an Apple Newton as a remote.

Re: Does anyone know what this is?

It was sold for a strange price...

It was very overpriced for an ordenary 2300, but I think, a real DAB version used to worth more than the final price.

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=380095504187

Anyway, this kind of a listing is worse than a scam IMHO, so I think, a negative feedback will be there very soon...

Re: Does anyone know what this is?

It was a very misleading listing!

Even after I emailed the seller and asked him to clarify what he was selling, he still didn’t change it!

Your right, roll on the negative feedback!
