    Sleeptimer MX4200 gone????

    Hi everyone

A quick question regarding sleeptimer on my MX4200. I had the tv set up standalone(no link) in my bedroome and the timerfunction worked like a charm. I have now linked it to my mainroom BV7 so i can watch DVD, listen to radio etc. etc. Should this influence the MX4200 sleep function?? When i acces the timer menu now, the only thing i can do is simply turning timer on or off. No timesettings anymore, NOTHING!!

    Any ideers??

MX4200 is set to option 6 if this has anything to say.

You helped me a lot of times before, hope you will be able to do so again.

    TIA

Based on your description I would say it is working correctly in a link environment

Set the timer requirements on the BeoVision 7

Seriously?? What is the basic idear of having to setup your sleep preferences for your bedroomTV in your living room???

I mean, when laying in bed, wanting to shut down my tv in 30 minutes, i do not want to get out of bed, walk downstairs to my main room, set up the timer function, and then go back to bed.

Sometimes i really wonder what the H*** they are thinking about at B&O when implementing various features in their systems.

Anyone have another solution to this very basic problem??

In a link system you set the timer requirements in the "Master" device, your slaves on the Beolink system are then either enabled or disabled from using that timer function. As you have already found out the only way you can have your bedroom TV use its own timer is by not having it not being a slave on the Beolink.

    Thanks Keith

I just find i at little odd but guess i have to live with it. However, when this is the only way of dooing it, i thought it was possible to create more than one sleep scenario on the mastersystem, and then at least pick between theese on the linktv.??
