    Re: Overture service Question?

    Hi there.

Removing the doors is quite easy as you have to unplug the Overture from power when the doors are open. Then you have to bring the outer edge of the doors to inner (sorry for my English).

About the back cover, it should also be straight forward. However if you are a Gold Member, you should be able to download the service manual.

    Best regards

    Hi James,

I'm afriad technicals are not my topic. I think you Keith could explain more.

But as mentioned before, you can download the service manual and there everything should be included.

    Re: Overture service Question?

Need a torx set of screw driver bits, mine were, doors finger nails under outerrtical edges ( one at atime and ease away from unit if upright towards you should easily unclip!

I always try to operate using/following the KISS principle --  Keep it simple stupid!

Unless the unit is not working or is dirty and needs a good clean then I would recommend that you leave well alone.

I guess the unit is quite old and a number of things can go wrong on dismantling.

The securing devices (clips) on the doors can become detached. Remedy, new doors at £40 each!

The plastic clips on the casework can break as they have become brittle with age!

The black plastic front panels can scratch with just looking at them. Remedy, new panels at £20 each!

Or, none of the above will happen. You takes your chance and pays your money!

Remember, if it aint broke, don't fix it!

    Regards Graham

    Thanks

Yes! It is not as simple as just changing a light bulb. They are soldered onto a small pcb at the back of the light chambers. To gain access you need to remove the complete front of the machine.

I suggest that you upgrade your membership of this site to at least silver (£15) and download the service manual in which you can see the exploded view and part numbers which you will need to order replacements.

Not particularly difficult job but impossible for me to describe here.

    Regards Graham
