Searching for help with a repair of a Beomaster 1200

    Hello.

I got a partly working Beomaster 1200 for a repair. Unfortunately my skills are running out and now I am asking if some more skilled member of this forum could help me.

When I got the BM1200 it had following problems. The sliders were very sticky, the whole thing was very dusty and there was sound on only one channel. Now, I can manage with the other problems but the missing channel is causing me to lose my mind. With help from Dillen I have diagnosed the problem to be the output amplifier (by swapping the wires from the pre-amp). I got another output-amp-board (that includes the power supply) from Dillen but I was not able to make a working one out of these two.

The problem might be a very simple one for someone more experienced in electronics and fault-finding - I am just not enoughly skilled (yet). Also I am running out of space to keep all these repairs around and as this has been teasing me for long enough I would like someone else to have a try.

I am offering to send the BM to anyone willing to help me. I am located in Finland - the closer the better. I will pay the postages and some extra for a succesfull repair - unfortunately I can't afford fortunes. The BM is now in parts ( - everything should be there and marked. I would like to send the BM (and the spare amp-board) without the cosmetic parts and covers and if (and when) the amp is working again I would love to  fix the smaller cleanings and assembly the thing again myself.

I would just like to keep this one going as it's in quite good cosmetical condition. And I believe the best place to ask for help would be the beloved Beoworld forum!

    Thanks in advance!

    Ville

Offer still on. I remind that this BM is only an average condition so I won't need full restoration as that would be very expensive due many cosmetical parts. I just want to get the amplifier working.
