BeoSound Overture connect to Avant via Masterlink Problems!

    Help!

I’ve just bought a BeoSound Overture to connect to my Avant via Masterlink, which I’ve done. I’ve never used Masterlink so I don’t know if you need to set it up or is it just plug and play?  I’ve connected them together but no sound comes from the avant?  What do I need to do?

    Many thanks

You need to set to options on each device.

I am guessing you have no external speaker.

You should set the TV to Option 2 and the Ouverture to Option 0.

    Put everything into stanby.

On the Beo4, press the red dot and menu at the same time.

Then with the list button go to option setting and say Go.

Go to V.OPTION and type 2.    A LED on the TV should blink.

Repeat but this operation but this time for A.OPTION and type 0.

A led on the ouverture should blink.

If it still does not work, turn the power off and back on after a minute, as there is a reconfiguration process on the ML.

Should be STBY and LIST at the same time! then LIST to get to Options etc.

I believe it is the red dot and LIST at the same time.

Relax, it's a jungle out there!

Re: BeoSound Overture connect to Avant via Masterlink Problems!

Thanks for the quick response, but could you break it down abit more?

How do i change the tv to option 2 and the Overture to option 0?

Do you mean red dot and list together?

    Thanks

Make sure that both are in STBY

Yes, the red dot and LIST at the same time.

Then LIST until the display reads Options? Press GO

Then LIST until the display reads V Opt Press 2

Then LIST until the display reads A Opt Press 0

Then press TV or CD as required. If you press CD then the CD should start and the sound will come from the Avant speakers.

    Hope that helps!

    Regards Graham
