    BV7-32 MK IV?

    Hi,

I have seen BV7-32 MK IV being mentioned in some posts, but I haven't been able to find much details about the possible BV7-32 MK IV version.

I am in particular looking for answers to the following questions:

    1. Will it have BlueRay DVD player built in?
    2. Will it have HDMI connections? If so, how many?
    3. Will it have the BS3 built in?
    4. What is the difference between BV7-32 MK III and the BV7-32 MK IV?
    5. When will the BV7-32 MK IV version be available?

Anyone who knows the answers to one or more of these questions? Thanks.

From what we know, it won't have a Blu-ray internal drive. There are doubts whether it will be a 1080p screen either. You just don't need 1080p on a 32" TV. You don't even really need Blu-ray.

    Possibly 2 x HDMI sockets.

No-one really knows the rest. There's talk if a May/June release and a possible 'mini' BS3 included. I'm not so sure. The BV7-32 screen is *less* than the price of a regular BS3, so I don't see how they can include any kind of BS3.

I guess we won't know for a few more months, yet...

The BV7-32" MKIV is the current version of the BV7-32". The only diference with MKIII version is the LCD panel.

BV7-32" MKV will arrive soon, with a BSy3 based chasis, DVB-HD (where avalible) and Full HD panel. Maybe in four months...

No BluRay players in this version (MKV)

I'll believe that when I see it - those specs make it better than the BV7-40 MKIII. No need for Full HD on a 32". I'm sure B&O aware of that, too.

They are not better, are the same. The BV7-32" will not be overpriced with this new specs. Instead, 40" version will include BluRay player, and it will be no overpriced as well...

I thought what we think will be the mini BS3 will just be a shared chassis to allow for a lower price point of TVs. It was rumored here that BV8 40" and BV7 32" will share the same.

Since the BV7 32" is so painfully behind I would think that we see the new version soon, maybe with the BV8 40".

    Re: BV7-32 MK IV?

Why not a BD on the 32"? Because of the relatively small panel the opportunity for a projector in Full HD Quality would be nice.... Or maybe the smaller BS3 doesn't include the Cinema possibilities with the control of a projector.

Do BD players produce good quality pictures from ordninary DVDs? As good as a DVD player?

By BD do you bean Blu-ray? Blu-ray players play SD DVDs in the same manner as a regular DVD. No difference. If I test a SD DVD on my PS3 compared to the BV7-40's internal DVD player, there's no visable difference in quality. Both upscale the image.

I use BD as short for Bluray Disc, maybe I´m wrong.

Thank you, moxxey, for answering many of my recent questions. I appreciate that!

Thanks everyone for answering my questions. It is much appreciated.

It is really a pity if the new 7-32" will not have BlueRay. While it might be correct that you do not "need" BlueRay for a 32" screen, as there is no, or little, visible difference compared to SD-DVD, then that is the purely technical answer. Reasons why I think it is a pity if the new 7-32" will not have BlueRay, is more related to both future proofing and being able to have options.
