Favourite product in the current range?

I would probably choose the BeoSound 5 or the BeoLab 9000. How about others?

    Simon.

    Beolab 9 and Beovision 7.

    Beovision 7-55 with Beolab 7-4, 9s and 4000s

    Beovision 10-40 with Beolab 1s and 6000s

    Beosound 1, 5, 2000, and 3000

None of the current Sound or Center's are key products. BC2 is close, but the socket box is too large for my liking. Detracts from the overall package.

For me, this would have to be either the BL5, BL9 or BL3 speakers. BV7-40 (which I own), isn't quite good enough to be a classic.

To be honest, the only current product I lust after is the Beolab 5. I would have them with a Beocenter 2 and an updated Beovision 5 I suppose.

However in the real world, I will settle for the Beolab 5000 system that Frede has restored for me!

Have you received it, Peter? And I agree on the BL5s - do let me know if you're ever headed towards my part of the world, we'll pass some enjoyable hours!

Not yet as I want to pick it up personally as I doubt the turntable would do well via post! Lee and I plan a trip this year and would love to meet up. I'll let you know what is planned - once it is!! Laughing

I meant the BL9 when I wrote BeoLab 9000. One too many glasses of wine this evening I think. BL5, BL3, all great products, the BL9s my favourite but that's only because they would suit my setup better than the others.

From my point of view with no doubt the Beolab 5! My best investment in B&O ever....all the others have a lot positive but some real drawbacks as well (except the Beolab 3 and 9)

BeoLab 5 is by far the most spectacular...but the one I want in my living room is the BV-7/US.

    Simon - check your PM.

BL9's are good, but I didn't like them at all for music (via my Beosound 4). I had them in the office, connected to the BS4 and the sound just wasn't right. Too high-end. My BL3s offer a more 'rounded' sound and are more suited to music.

Connected the BL9's to the BV7-40 and they are perfect for TV, movies and similar. Movies make use of the bass, believe me.

Hi Chris, I did receive and read both your PMs yesterday, thanks. Just haven't had a chance to reply since you wrote a lot and I wanted to do the same back. Will get down to it tomorrow. I did note what you said about the 3s but my preference is movies over music so the 9s would be right for me. Realistically though they are still far too big for my living space and would make too much of a statement, which I don't want.

    Simon.

I 2nd or 3rd or whatever number we have the Beolab 5.

From an "I can get way with it prospective", my BC2 and Beolab 3. Luxurious but understated and the combination sounds awesome.

On a 2nd thought, the PUC that lets me control my Apple TV. That showed they listen to their customers.

Well if I had lots of spare change, my favourites which are on a wish list hidden away somewhere are as follows....

    1. BS9000 - classic!

    2. BL5 - would love to have a big room to put these in...

    3. BV9 - iconic ......

Enough day dreaming for now, especially while at the office...........

BL5 for me, combined with my BC2, that would be perfect......

A pair of Beolab 5 for their tonal qualities but 4 x Beolab 9 for their practicality and probably better value for money!

If money were no object then yes 4 BL5 - but I was suggesting I would rather have 4 BL9 than just one pair of BL5s.

Money is no object here in this question. If it is within the realms of reality, then i have to say the BL4000's are mt fave B&o product that i can afford and do own

Re: Favourite product in the current range?

I was playing along with the favourite product rather than products (hence 2 pairs of BL9s rather than pair of 1 BL5s)!

I agree the BL4000s look really good and the fact they can be stand or wall mounted in different ways adds to the appeal.

    - BS9000: still love to play it late at night with the lights dimmed!

    - BL5: Would be great to have these but first I would have to buy a new house to get a living room big enough for them; that's what makes these speakers so expensive.

    - BV9: Picture quality is great, I like th e design better over time; only minus is the curved aluminium; would be great if you could get the BV5 flat aluminium.
