    Help with my Beomedia 1

    Hi,
am the owner of a pre-owned Beomedia 1, that's causing me some headache.

    1) I cannot access the Set Up -menu as described in the manuals. That option just isn't there! Is there a way of resetting the machine, or do I need to see my dealer?

    2) It won't show up on my 7-40, when using a VGA-to-DVI-converter.

    any hints?

    1. For most setup, including the setting of a static IP address, you will need a PS capable mouse and keyboard.

    2. I can't speak to the DVI converter you're using, but I would recommend you plug it into a standard VGA computer monitor and set up the display output for High 1. Then you should be able to plug it into your BeoVision 7. If the BeoVision 7 is a MkIII, you should plug it directly into the VGA input and skip the DVI.

    Hi

Thanks, I found the VGA-input in the 7-40. Have had to contact my dealer though as it requires a start up password. So we'll see if it'll make me as happy as my other B&O-things. Surprise

Whoa, hold on. Does the Beomedia 1 not work with B&o CRT tv's (BV3)?! Only Beovisions with VGA in?

Hey Sean :) OH, phew. :) Did you have it when you had your BV3? Now all i need is to find a cheap one. I've been wanting one for 2 years but still can't afford it brand new... how do you like it Sean > is it good? I imagine the sound quality is good, what sort of video uses is it good for?  Smile
