    BV 7, 40 inch and Beolab 7.1

Rather than buy a new center speaker for my soon to be delivered BV 7 40 inch i am keeping my 7.1 speaker from my 32 inch BV 7.  On the selection process for the center speaker during setup can you select a 7.1 rather than a 7.2 or the rest of the beolab range.  Thank you.

I can't say either way, but it shouldn't matter from a sonic point of view as the two are pretty similar. I can't say I would want a 7.1 mounted underneath a 7-40 visually though.

The main reason for the 7.1 was money.  I had enough for the tv and not a new center speaker but visually i have seen it on the STB brackets webiste and i think it looks ok.  Tried to put the picture on the site but not sure how to attach a picture to posts.  Thank you for your advice.

Right. The speakers are sonically the same, just spaced differently to accommodate different screen sizes.

I personally would have taken your 7.1 on a trade to make sure you got the whole enchilada.

I have a BV7 MK3 with a 7.1 mounted underneath, and it preforms equally to the 7.2 only difference is the size.

Glad you agree i have not got the knack yet of putting a picture on this forum but when the tv is fitted i will endeavor to show to all.  The only place i have seen it is on the STB site.  I personally think is will look more uniform as i always thought that the speaker sticking out the sides looked slightly odd but still stunning.

    Thanks all for your views
