We have had a Beocom 4 for around 3 years now. It is only since my Parents got one too, I have noticed ours does not show the number or I.D. of incoming calls. They one my parents have do. Looked through the manual and had a play with the settings, but it's still the same. Do all models or just some display caller I.D. for incoming calls? They both have the earlier shaped wheel BTW.

For millions of years, mankind lived just like the animals. Then something happened which unleashed the power of our imagination. We learned to talk and we learned to listen..
Reunion Island is greeting you!
Thanks for the replies, although I am pretty sure we both have the same provider. Let me check and report back, may even try my phone o their line.
Just checked and you do have to pay an extra charge to have caller I.D.
Software, old chap. Have your local dealer shove some more software into it.
I've encountered this anomaly a few times and by essentially reinstalling its operating system (for lack of a better term) all should be set to right.
There is scarcely anything in this world that some man cannot make a little worse and sell a little more cheaply. The person who buys on price alone is this man's lawful prey. - John Ruskin

Nope! It is not the Beocom 4 that needs a software update.. As Craig wrote he needs to pay his operator a charge for them to provide the caller ID. The Beocom 4 always shows CID if available (I'm not saying that the older software versions are bug free). Besides - you cannot put "more software" into it... You can have the software replaced with a newer version.
