Beocenter 2 - cannot startup after flashing

    Dear Forum,

I have tried to flash update the software in my BC2. Something went terribly wrong i'm afraid. The BC wont start or respond to any buttons. The only thing I can do is to open and shut the DVD cover.

Is there a way to reset the system?

    Thanks,

    Moller

Any chance that you could re-flash the old version ? (if you have it available)

    Best regards

Try disconnecting the main unit from the socket box, and the socket box from mains power for a few minutes, then plug it all back up, an see how it does.

Did you replace the normal umbilical cable with the programming umbilical while you flashed it?

    We kid because we love.

    Thanks for the replies, guys.

I'm starting to realise, that I have really messed with something that I am not qualified to. [:'(]

I've tried unplugging as suggested - no changes. The only thing that happens is that the LED flashes when I push one of the buttons.

With regards to the "programming umbilical" I suppose this refers to the cable between the socket box and the main unit. Alas, I didn't even know that I needed such a cable.

With regards to "retro-flashing" I don't really know how to try to reverse the situation. It would seem that I am stuck - and with myself to blame...

    Any good ideas?

How did you get the equipment and software to flash to begin with?

I would think you will have to bring it back to your dealer.

    Cheers

I would also suggest that you take it to the service.

I think that if it is a matter of re-flashing, should not take longer than a couple of hours (if not minutes) and you will take it back home happy!

    Best regards

    Dear all,

    Thanks for all the replies.

I have taken my BC2 down to my dealer, and he is currently looking at it - and is probably laughing at my stupidity.

Now I just look forward to receive it again.

    Best regards,

    Moller
