    Re: new dvb hd

Interesting, no idea what it is, would be good if it is a DVB-C module though!

One other thing I noticed on this price list is that the Beosystem 3 is not mentioned as a separate item? Has that always been the case in your country?

The DVB-HD can be fitted to currently shipping:-

    BeoVision 7-40 MKIII
    BeoSysten 3 MKI/II
    BeoVision 9 (all)

If you have purchased a Beovision 7-40 or Beocentre 6-26 in the last couple years, there is a DVB-HD retrofit kit solution which will be available later in 2009

    Video output is

Analogue Video output CVBS (link distribution and background recording mode)
    Digital Video output 1080i/720p
    Analogue copy protection MacroVision
WSS (Wide Screen Signalling) Data to report the aspect ratio
Teletext Teletext data inserted in CVBS VBI lines
Subtitles DVB and Teletext subtitles supported
    Analogue resolution 720 pixels x 576 lines
    Digital resolution Reception: 480i, 576i, 576p, 720p,1080i  Output: 720p

    Keith,

Is it possible with the new DVB-HD modul to receive HDTV via the inbuilt DVB-S?

I am not sure I fully understand your question.

If you have a DVB-S module currently fitted to your Beovision you CANNOT receive HDTV using it.

The DVB-HD Module supports all Free-to-Air service providers as well as the Pay TV providers who are using MPEG2 or MPEG4 compression technology and it also has support for Conditional Access Modules.

    Re: new dvb hd

Does this mean that the current DVB-S/T can not be updated to receive MPEG4 coded transmission? There seems not be space in the BS3 to have both DVB-HD and DVB-S/T module installed. What modes of DVB does the DVB-HD support? I understood from a separate thread that the 5.02 Sw upgrade provided MPEG 4 support.

my dealer told that the dvb-t module for the beosystem 3 costs 570€!too much for a logic card to insert in the beosystem3...i'm looking for the lg hr400(dvb-t,bluray,hdd).for 499€ do you think worth the price??

do you think i could use it with beo4/5??

my dealer also told me that upgrade beosystem3 firmware costs 70€...sometimes i ask myself why b&o lose his style in such manner...

Finally my BV7 with DVB HD works after firmware update. But my Link TV doesn't work anymore... does the BV7 only receives Link TV from analogue Antenna In? Right now the cable is connected with the DVB-C port.

    Re: new dvb hd

    Two comments:

    1) The new DVB-HD module don't give you fHD picture (720p) on BV7-40 MK 1 and MK II (and problably similary BV7-32 etc. models) And It don'r gives you digital sound o these TV's. The module support both HD and digital sound, but due  limited connections in these TV's  you can't bennefit from it.

    2) The Link-TV issue is solved n the latest firmware.

    Thank you Ken,

my Firmware is 7.05 you mean that 7.11 will fix it? So I don't need a switch from antenna socket with 2 cables to the BV7 right?

I don't know the exact FW version numbers, but in my set-up Link-TV works with DVB-C signal. I was told that there were a probelm with this in prior FW versions, so I quit sure that is what you are seeing in your set-up.
