    For the experts: Pioneer CCF file + Lintronic SW + XML generator does not work

    Hi,

    I have tested the XML generator with a CCF file to take a photo with my Pentax camera (very useful for the family picture at Christmas), that worked fine. After that I wanted to create a file for my Pioneer DVD-Audio player. But it does not work whatever I do. Here's what I did, maybe someone has an idea:

    • Used a  CCF file found on remotecentral.com with the Lintronic tool (pasted the command of one button into the CCF field), basically following instructions from the XML generator like I did with the Pentax code. The resulting XML file has the command coded in RAW, the Lintronic tool seems to have recognized a NEC format;
    • Captured the remote with a PDA tool called RemoteControl and entered in the CCF field of the Lintronic tool with no success as well;

    Any help appreciated,

    Frank

    Frank,

    I saw you updated your Pentax Camera XML file to the Beo5 web pages, thank you.

    With regards to your Pioneer DVD-Audio player XML not working, let me first ask what version of the Beo5 Configuration Tool you are using, 1.30 or 2.2 ?

    Regards Keith....

    Hi Keith,

    Thanks for your reply. I am using 1.3 with Firmware 1.34a.

    Frank,

    Well, in that case the XML Generator will produce the correct XML file.

    Some of the Pronto Hex codes found on the remotecentral.com site are not always correct, so I suggest you post a couple of the HEX codes you found for this product and I will check them.

    Hi Keith,

    here is the one I always used to test (On/Standby):

    Hi Keith,

    thanks for this, the file looks the same as the one I created and behaves the same: Does not work! Funnily, when I learned the code to the Windows PDA application RemoteControl II, the output was different as follows, but putting that through the convertors did not work as well:

    0000 0067 007C 0000 0153 00AA 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 0014 0016 0014 0016 0014 0016 003F 0016 0014 0016 003F 0016 0014 0016 0014 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 0014 0016 003F 0016 0014 0016 003F 0016 0014 0016 0014 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 0014 0016 0014 0016 003F 0016 0014 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 0014 0016 0014 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 0014 0016 0588 0153 00AA 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 0014 0016 003F 0016 0014 0016 003F 0016 0014 0016 0014 0016 0014 0016 0014 0016 003F 0016 0014 0016 003F 0016 0014 0016 0014 0016 0014 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 0014 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 0014 0016 0014 0016 0014 0016 0014 0016 003F 0016 0014 0016 0588 0153 00AA 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 0014 0016 0014 0016 0014 0016 003F 0016 0014 0016 003F 0016 0014 0016 0014 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 0014 0016 003F 0016 0014 0016 003F 0016 0014 0016 0014 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 0014 0016 0014 0016 003F 0016 0014 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 0014 0016 0014 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 0014 0016 0588 0153 00AA 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 0014 0016 003F 0016 0014 0016 003F 0016 0014 0016 0014 0016 0014 0016 0014 0016 003F 0016 0014 0016 003F 0016 0014 0016 0014 0016 0014 0016 003F 0016 003F 0011 0000

    Re: For the experts: Pioneer CCF file + Lintronic SW + XML generator does not work

    Frank,

    I had a closer look at both Pronto codes you sent me and I can see that the first one has the first section missing which defines the carrier frequency and bit size and the second shows the NEC code repeated 4 times except the last part has only half the bitstream, teh rest is missing.

    From your last captured Pronto code I assembled an XML file which repeats the base code 3 times.which you can download from HERE

    The zip file and XML file have the same file name as before. If this does not work then it means your captured IR is incorrect as well as teh one you got from remotecentral.com

    Hi Keith,

    thanks again for the file. Does not work either. I can see the changed code over the other one in the view menu of the config tool, but it still does not work. Your analysis shows to me that I have not captured everything correctly, so I will go back and try again. I will be back.

    Re: For the experts: Pioneer CCF file + Lintronic SW + XML generator does not work

    Hi Keith,

    I did some further analysis and found three issues which I have resolved. Now the On/Standby works.

    1. In the High/Low window, not all the pulse is selected automatically. You have to click "Mark all" before you can click "High/Low". That resulted in the longer correct pulses.
    2. The 3 pauses between the 4 pulses were 34843 (dec) = 881B (hex). The 3rd party tool converted these correctly, but it seems the B&O config tool does not. There seems to be a limit of 7FFF (hex) = 32767 (dec). Changing the values manually in the XML to 7D00 (hex) fixed that.
    3. The Carrier is set to 38 by the tool which resulted in a frequency of 39kHz, changing that manually to 40 resulted in the correct 40.510 kHz.
    Cheers,
    Frank

    After retesting, #3 is no issue, also works with 38.
