i have a avant 32" (DVD) and i have noticed that the stand by light is continuously flashing when the TV is on stand by.

is this normal or is there a problem?

also is it possible to buy the front speaker cover for the avant as mine seems a little worn out

On the VCR version of the Avant, it means you have ejected the video tape but not removed it. Could this be something to do with removing a DVD?

You can purchase replacement speaker covers.

The silver grey cover is part number 3320488

Keith is correct - replacement grilles for all avant variants are still available - however, I would maybe suggest you try washing the ones you have.

Unless the wear you mention includes actual holes, you should find they come up like new.  The typical issue is all the speaker drive unit outlines, and some fixation holes, become visible as "shadows".  This is dust in the grille cloth.

Take the grille off, then using lukewarm soapy ( ideally a fabric cleaner ) water, sponge them thoroughly.  Try not to get them too warm & wet near the edges, in case the fabric glue fails.

Let them dry overnight- you should have nice, new looking grilles.

yes your right about the dust on the grill cloth which are visible around the speakers and fixation holes.

ill try the washing option first
