I agree with you about the Beolab4000... amazing speaker and a great value for money. Unfortunately it is often underestimated. Have you already listened to the MkII version with the ICE-power amps? I do prefer the old MkI.. maybe one day I will get myself a pair in dark-blue.

Hi Fox,

No I haven't listened to the Mark II with the ICE powered amps, I will try to hear them at my local dealer if possible. To be honest with you it is the older pair I am talking about and I know I was absolutly amazed when I hear them. Its rather like the BeoSound 1, although I don't particularly like the design of the product too much (a little but its not my favourite) I was also amazed at the sound this unit produced. Crystal clear clarity at any volume. Unbelievable for such a small unit and I find the BL 4000s to be exactly the same. I would never require any more powerful speakers.

The BL4000 MkII sounds even more clearer and detailed but also sounds colder than the MkI. The Lab4000's would also be sufficient for me most od the time but I still prefer my Pentas... sometime one needs a bit of luxury
