Hi All!

I was contemplating on getting a Beo5 remote this Xmas, but after talking to the local dealer, I'm a little turned off. The cost is $935 plus $90-$125/hr for programing. I don't mind paying for the intial programing but when subsequent changes needs to be made, I have to bring it back to the dealer for additional programing where they will charge the hourly rate. He said the programing software is proprietary therefore cannot be given to me. I think it's silly having to bring the remote back everytime I need to make changes. Is this the experience that everyone is having with this remote? Thanks for sharing your thoughts! 

Have a good look around these forums for pointers on how to program the Beo5. It can be done by a savvy end user, although the software is not that great. Have a look at the dedicated Beo5 forum.
